I Was Camping in New Bern North Carolina last year in November. It was a nice sunny day but when the sun went down, it got REAL cold. I went through 6 bundles of firewood before I decided to climb into my warm sleeping bag- fully clothed including a jacket!!
Unfortunately my ElectraGlide didn't have a warm sleeping bag to crawl into. I was to break camp at 6 a.m. and head home but when I hit Start on my bike-NOTHING.
This was a first, and there was no one around to give me a jump start, and it was Sunday morning in the South, so I guess you know where everybody was.
Lesson Learned-I wasn't prepared for this.
When I got home I started researching power supplies that would be powerful, yet small enough to pack. I found the AntiGravity Batteries unit on Amazon and Got it. Now I know I have a backup plan.
So Far I have found that it's great to give me power to my phones, Ipad and speakers. I can go a whole weekend drycamping with enough power. I had to use it to Jump Start my 4-Runner after leaving the Dome Light on All night, that was at Cape Charles on the Chesapeake Bay- that alone was worth the price of the Unit.
For the Extra Peace of Mind I heartily Recommend the MIcrostart - They have several models and power profiles, I found the XP-3 was the right size for me. Read some of the reviews below and if you want one just click on the Amazon logo at the bottom of the page.
